--sarah campbell is taking over the VP duties for cile montgomery

1- treasurer's report--bob drew: we took in $282 at the 4th of july event; there was an overage of $509.22 with PBSJ

MOTION: pay them = PASSED

2- ANC's vote on single member district--jean werneke: she is the SRCC rep to ANC; ANC wants this issue on the november ballot; it breaks the city up into 8 voting districts, 2 big  districts (east/west) and a mayor; your district council member  would have to live in that district

MOTION: conceptually we support the idea but we'd like to learn more about it; continue discussion and aim for may ballot with  special attention paid to the division of the SRCC into separate  districts = PASSED

3- travis park apartments--terry franz; the 100% HUD apartments on oltorf across from travis high school are  having many issues with the management not taking care of problems; issues include the sewers backing up again with management trying to clean and reuse the carpeting, many units are without a/c all summer,  mold; austin inTer faith heads up the team working to fix these problems with the primary contact being terry, 512-447-8768, tmfranz@airmail.net; HUD contracts southwest housing compliance to make sure management is within compliance but they can only report their finding to HUD and HUD is not responding with urgency; an  increase in inspections might help

MOTION: compose letter from SRCC voicing discontent with the situation and send a copy to doggett, HUD, management, southwest housing compliance and city council = PASSED

4- guero's request for a late hours permit--jean mather: they want to extend liquor serving hours to 2am from 12am

MOTION = compose letter stating SRCC does not support the granting of a late night variance: PASSED

5- variance on harwood--doug frey: in an attempt to preserve trees the layout of the building violates  some building codes of which they would like a variance; the  property and trees make for a long building; the common wall of the duplex must be parallel to the street and the floor to area ratio  must be .4 but his is .45 due to the shape.

MOTION = SRCC does not oppose the variances based on the owner / builder / designer's desire to protect the trees and reduce the scale of the building = PASSED
